Company Profiles Foundations
Treat the name, address and phone number as a single source of truth, not as a field to be improvised per site.

Why the Slight Fields Decide the Ranking
Usually, the usual culprit is an abandoned profile, unobtrusively inherited from an old listing nobody remembers creating. Accurate records are one of the few local levers that still work without a budget.
Where competitors are sloppy, clean data is enough to take a better click-through rate, and the same holds at scale. Listing networks compare the same fields across dozens of sources and weigh the agreement, particularly for a newer business. In the main, give one person the logins and one document the truth; ambiguity is what causes drift.
Remove What You Can't Check
What follows from this is that once a contradiction enters the aggregator layer it tends to resurface months later. The cost of a stale address isn't a penalty; it's being unobtrusively ranked below someone tidier. Anything unverifiable should be removed rather than corrected.
A single stale field can propagate through review platforms long after the original entry was fixed. Visibility in the map pack tends to follow within within a few weeks of a serious clean-up. Begin by pulling every existing record into one sheet before changing anything.
